Rother Local Action Plans Support Programme
The Local Strategic Partnership has funded a Support Programme to assist communities in rural Rother and two Wards in Bexhill (Sidley and Pebsham) to develop and implement local Action Plans. Two Community Development Workers are now in post providing one to one support to communities already in the process of developing plans or offering help to those hesitant or unsure about how to begin the process.
Guidance is to be produced to enable specific actions identified in Local Action Plans, such as housing developments, road or transport issues, to link into Rother's Community Plan, the Local Development Plan and the Local Strategic Partnership Plan. This will ensure that evidenced based needs of communities are included in these broader planning processes.
A Rother Community Planning Fund will be available shortly to support Local Action Plans (See Grants)
There are plans to develop a Local Action Plan Network across rural Rother to share ideas and experiences as well as to identify training needs and topics for workshops or conferences all aimed at supporting local communities to deliver improvements in the quality of life through their Action Plans.
Completed Action Plans in this area are:
