Wealden Village Action Plan Support Project
The Wealden Village Action Plan Support Project extends the detail of the support provided by Action in rural Sussex to all parts of Wealden District.
The project has established a local Action Planners Network, which will itself develop stronger links for the participating parishes with the Local Strategic Partnership, and will be providing intensive one-to-one support to communities in the development and implementation of Parish Action Plans.
The project will:
Provide additional detailed support to village communities to assist in the implementation of their Action Plan through detailed and ongoing assistance to develop project plans, grant applications and implementation strategies as appropriate. This will include a signposting service to other agencies and organisations, plus a support role for the initial contact if this should be required. These communities will also be able to participate in the workshop and seminar programme being developed under the Community Leadership project (live link in blue).
Develop, facilitate and organise a local support network for Action Plan participants in Wealden to provide support and guidance to individuals and groups.
Assist the developing network to be in a position to participate more fully in the Local Strategic Partnership. AirS will help with the capacity building process to enable this to happen once the network has been established.
Produce resource materials that will provide specific assistance to Wealden communities with the identification and interpretation of the Wealden Local Strategic Partnership aims and objectives and will actively assist on the LSP in making the links between the two processes (community plan and parish and town plans)
Actively promote and assist in the development of joint projects and initiatives between the village communities in line with the themes and priorities of the Community Plan and the emerging Parish Action Plans.
Actively assist communities to promote active and inclusive citizenship within the context of the parish plans
