Chantal is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Action in rural Sussex and has a keen interest in village halls, the rural economy, employment and health provision. She undertakes numerous voluntary roles within her community and the wider region, including being a Trustee of several pan-Sussex and Crowborough based charities, Chairman of both Friends of Crowborough Hospital and Crowborough Community Association. She is also an East Sussex Charity Mentor.

Chantal is a Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex and is a former independent Wealden District Councillor – Chairman 2007 to 2009.

Outside of her voluntary work, Chantal owns and runs an architectural design practice with her husband and resides in Crowborough in East Sussex.
