Access to Services in Rural Wealden: 16th February 2017, The Reid Hall BN27 4SD

AirS is working with Wealden Strategic Partnership to host a community transport event on 16 February from 11am-2.30pm.  It will cover meeting the challenge of getting people to services – a focus on community solutions to transport and access problems.

Scope:

  • What do local communities do to provide the transport element of access to services?
  • What are the blocks to meeting the transport needs of all members of the community requiring access to services?
  • Tapping into local expertise and knowledge to suggest practical solutions to overcome these blocks
  • Identifying next steps

Workshop:

Opportunities to examine the extent to which existing voluntary transport schemes and other arrangements meet the needs of individuals, to identify gaps and to collaborate in building capacity, improving co-ordination and planning for the future.

Please note that lunch and volunteers’ expenses will be provided. If you have further questions in relation to this event, please contact Fiona Morton on 07931 854367.
