Full Fibre Programme – West Sussex towns to get faster broadband – April 2020
West Sussex County Council has approved a new public investment of £20 million to support their new “Full Fibre Programme,” which aims to increase “full fibre” and maximise coverage of gigabit-capable broadband services across the county.
Five towns and cities across West Sussex are to receive full-fibre gigabit broadband as part of a national scheme.
Bognor, Chichester, Littlehampton, Horsham and Crawley are among the latest areas announced as part of the CityFibre project.
The £4 billion scheme aims to target up to eight million business premises across the UK, as part of efforts to get the whole country onto full-fibre broadband by 2025.
This follows on from a decision made by Arun District Council last December to roll out full-fibre connections to 100 public sites across Bognor and Littlehampton.
