Join our Board of Trustees

This is an opportunity for you to make a significant contribution to the future of a much respected local charity based in Lewes, East Sussex. We are looking for people who feel passionate about our work and want to go the extra mile to help us make a real difference to rural communities in East and West Sussex.

We are a forward looking charity that acts both as a rural advocate and manages a number of projects all designed to promote the interests of rural communities. The details of our various services and projects may be found throughout this website.

We want to improve the diversity of our Board and are seeking talented individuals to join it. Trustees are appointed on a voluntary basis (but expenses can be reimbursed)  and currently reflect a variety of professional backgrounds.  We are particularly looking for people of all ages, ethnicity and background with experience and a keen interest in “all things rural”.  A general background in one of the following – accounting, fund-raising, and/or marketing would be useful, but not essential.

Our Board meets four to six times a year – an induction and training are provided. Trustees are initially appointed for a 3 year term and may serve up to 3 successive terms.

More details on the role are outlined here:
