Lisa Hartley – Community Led Housing Advisor:

Lisa has lived in Brighton for four years. She joined the Sussex Community Housing Hub in October 2019 and provides a range of technical advice and support to community led housing groups and projects.

Lisa has worked in the charity sector for over ten years’ in a variety of roles in sustainable transport, community engagement and sustainability. She moved from Birmingham to Brighton and became involved in housing as a direct response to the acute housing crisis.

For the last two years’ she has worked as a freelance Project Manager for SEASALT Housing Co-operative, setting up the first student housing co-operative in the South East. As part of this she works closely with Brighton and Hove Community Land Trust. She has volunteered on a range of natural build projects and is a regular volunteer at the South Downs Eco Co-operative.

She has a Masters in Sustainable Development and is an accredited Community Led Housing Enabler.

Her interests include wild swimming, hiking, cycling, camping, social and land justice.
