Action in rural Sussex (AirS) is experiencing an exciting and enviable time of change and expansion, and we seek a dynamic Business Development Lead with a hands-on approach to join us as a key member of our friendly Management Team.

We know what we want to achieve, so now we need someone to focus on implementing the next steps in our development. If changing local lives motivates you then come and join us to make a difference.

You will already have a successful track record of creating social enterprises and submitting funding bids and will relish setting up fresh initiatives, while being committed to continuous improvement and the promotion of strong partnership working.

  • Annual Salary on a scale starting at £30,507 (pro rata if P/T)
  • Between 28 and 35 Hours per week (subject to agreement with successful candidate) currently based in Lewes with free on-site parking
  • 28 days annual holiday and contributory pension scheme

Action in rural Sussex is committed to supporting communities to meet their housing needs via community led housing. This is an exciting time to join the Sussex Community Housing Hub team as we look to expand and enhance our services of providing support to a range of community led housing groups and projects across the region.

We are looking for candidate to undertake community led housing enabling work with community based organisations to raise awareness and increase the provision of community led affordable housing schemes across Sussex and to provide advice and guidance to communities wishing to embark on community led housing projects and to support the Sussex Hub with this programme of work.

Ideally, you will have experience of project management; worked with communities and stakeholders; is a good collaborator and partnership worker and also self-reliant and self-motivated, coupled with a good working knowledge of housing combined with an interest in community led housing and innovative solutions to meeting local housing needs.

Initially a 2 year fixed term post with the intention for accreditation and professional development as a CLH Advisor to be achieved during this period.

  • Annual Salary on a scale starting at £25,295
  • 2 year fixed term contract – Full time (35 hours per week) / or Part time – (TBC)
  • Based in Lewes with some home-working considered
  • 28 days (pro rata) annual holiday and contributory pension scheme

Job share, secondments and part time hours considered.

This post involves some evening work. A car is desirable but not essential.
