Steve Lewis – Community Based Services Lead

Steve joined AirS in July 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. Steve has had a long career supporting Community Development projects around the world. Working for international charities such as Save the Children & Christian Aid, Steve managed projects like vegetable gardens in Mozambique, Women’s literacy in Guatemala &  HIV prevention across Latin America. Steve also worked in Berkshire & Oxfordshire with village groups that wanted to campaign & fundraise for reforestation in El Salvador.

Having lived in Sussex for twenty years Steve wanted a change of focus and to get more involved in Community Development in the local area. At AirS he now manages the team of Village Agents who support environmental work in West Sussex and a wide variety of village projects in East Sussex.

Steve is married with two children and in his spare time is a keen photographer, a campaigner & sometimes active on Social Media.
