Roles & Responsibilities of Village Hall Trustees: Online Course 12 June
A two hour course for new village hall trustees or those wanting a refresher. Developed and delivered by AirS’ Facilities Advisor Angela Milligan.
Areas covered:
- Why there are often different kinds of trustees (custodian/holding trustees and managing trustees) and how their roles differ
- Key responsibilities of trustees and how to carry them out
- What your governing document (eg trust deed) tells you and how to obtain a copy if you haven’t got one
- How to tell whether the village hall is owned by the charity or leased
- Running meetings, voting and AGMs
- Understanding trustee liability and whether it’s really an issue
- Inducting new trustees
Max 6 participants so there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues.
