Karen Laver – Lost Woods Team Leader

Karen has been part of Airs teams for over 10 years, joining the Village Agents team in September 2018 and the Lost Woods team in October 2020. Karen is a creative practitioner who has worked in a roles varying from direct work with disabled children, young carers and anxious teenagers to training staff and volunteers and supporting parents and carers.

Karen is trained in Therapeutic Play, teaching mindfulness to children, is a Forest School practitioner and has an interest in alternative therapies such as Emotional Freedom Technique.

Karen’s original degree was in wood, metal, ceramics and plastics and for many years was known for her ceramic cows and indeed known as the cow woman! Karen still paints and is a lover of outdoor swimming and camping.
