Tom Warder: Team Leader – Housing & Community Engagement

Tom Warder is the Housing and Community Engagement Team Leader at AirS where he has overseen his team’s work on over thirty five neighbourhood plans across the region over the past five years, alongside his role in rural housing delivery. Tom was the project manager for the first plan to pass referendum in Sussex at Arundel, where he co-ordinated the work on the plan through to its successful conclusion. The AirS team have an excellent track record in community led and neighbourhood planning.

Tom has enabled the delivery of 15 local needs affordable housing schemes across Sussex over the past ten years, a rural housing enabling service which evolved into the Sussex Community Land Trust Project in 2013 and the Sussex Community Housing Hub in 2017. Tom Has also been instrumental in the setting up of a South East community led housing hub which will act as a regional centre of excellence and good practice across the region. Tom provides technical support to a range of community led housing groups and projects from housing association partnerships to stand-alone CLTs.
