Alan Kinder – Fundraising Manager

Alan spent the first part of his career in the education sector, as a teacher, teacher trainer and local authority adviser for geography. His commitment to geographical education then took him into senior roles in the charity sector, promoting research, policy and practice in support of local and regional knowledge and economic development. These roles involved fundraising and partnership development in support of the charities he worked for.

Two themes are threaded throughout Alan’s work: the importance of local and regional cultures and landscapes, and the power of bringing people together to share knowledge.

Alan has spent many years walking, cycling and roaming around rural Sussex, and now lives in Ringmer, East Sussex.
