We are recruiting for a Community Buildings Adviser
Annual Salary – £24,000 to £26,000
35 hours per week (fewer hours considered) – based in Lewes but with travel across mainly West Sussex
28 days annual holiday and contributory pension scheme
Action in rural Sussex is seeking a customer-focused, friendly Adviser to join our expanding community buildings team.
Community halls form a vital part of thriving communities, especially in rural areas, providing inclusive, accessible local spaces for a wide range of wellbeing, educational, and recreational activities. They contribute to community health and wellbeing, help overcome isolation, reduce car travel and impact on the environment, and strengthen community cohesion.
Our community buildings team works with community spaces across Sussex, particularly charitable village halls, providing managers and trustees with specialist advice and information via our information portal, online discussion forum, newsletters, training and networking events, and bespoke individual support.
We would welcome applications from individuals who have experience and knowledge of running community buildings, as well as the ability to put together lively, readable newsletters, web and social media content to keep halls up to date with current developments.
